The main production features that characterize the wines are the land and the traditional vines of Romagna.

In the Romagna region, the territory is definitely one of the best place area for the production of quality wine, as the  vineyards are located on the hills of Bertinoro (FC) and specifically in the small hamlet of Polenta near the ancient parish of S. Donato which is also mentioned by Dante in his Divine Comedy.

The area appears to be within the “comune” of Bertinoro, in its highest part (300 mt above sea level). It has clayey soils marked by limestone veins of great importance, as witnessed by the presence of chalk mines currently in disuse.  The southern exposure of the 5 acre vineyards is one of the other conditions to obtain a perfect ripening of the grapes.

Most of the vineyards belong to the classical tradition of Romagna: Sangiovese, which is proposed in the version Rubicon I.G.P. Superior D.O.C. and Superior Riserva D.O.C. and a very special type of Passito wine; Albana (white grape), offered in a dry DOCG and in an equally particular version of Passito wine.

In the vineyards there is also a small presence of international red grape varieties. All this for an annual production of about 25,000 bottles.
